A BRAND new ambulance service has proven invaluable to Women In Need's operations, allowing us to reach many more forgotten women.
Last year, the Military & Hospitaller Order of the Knights of St Lazarus of Jerusalem, Malta, kindly donated funds for the purchase of an ambulance.
Not only has the mobile unit allowed WIN to transport sick patients more comfortably, it has also enabled the charity to penetrate deeper into slum areas and remote outskirts of Nagpur.
Leah and Usha can now bring their clinic directly to the doorstep of women, who simply cannot reach the drop-in centre in the heart of the city. Women In Need is extremely grateful for this new facility.
