Diwali literally means a row of Lights. It is a time filled with light and love; a time when Indians all over the world rejoice. It is the darkest night of the darkest period, yet it is a celebration of light!
For many underprivileged single mothers however, Diwali brings anxiety as to whether they can afford the new clothes, festive snacks and fireworks traditionally given to children. Thanks to your generosity, WIN is annually able to gift some of our poorest children with new clothes, snacks and fireworks lighting a few smiles on a few young faces.
