Sangita is an educated woman from a respected family in Nagpur. After getting a degree in Economics and putting the steps in place to do a PhD, her life was going well until her mother's sudden death, plunging Sangita into a state of depression.
—
Her mother's death triggered symptoms of psychosis, causing her to withdraw and neglect herself. When her father passed away two years later, Sangita's health spiralled out of control, and she could no longer take care of herself.
—
When we met Sangita, she was agitated, afraid and uncooperative, but gradually, over 6 months of daily visits and bringing cooked meals, medication, and companionship, we've seen a huge improvement in her well being and personal care.
—
With our support, she continues to build on her confidence and self-respect every day.
