More shocking facts about cancer are that India has a 71% mortality rate and only 0.04% of sufferers will access morphine to relieve pain in the last stages of the disease. Women in Need (WIN) can also add that over 90% of the women we encounter with cancer are left by their husbands following diagnosis. The result is that many struggle without emotional, financial or medical assistance.
